At Balcony Restaurant & Bar we respect your personal data. This policy explains what we collect through balconyathens.com, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Greek Law 4624/2019.

2. What we collect and why
- Contact and request forms: name, email, phone, date/time and your message. We use them only to answer your request (legal basis: your consent and steps prior to a contract, Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).
- Table reservations: online bookings are handled by the i-host platform (www.i-host.gr), which processes your booking details on our behalf. The i-host privacy policy also applies.
- Visitor statistics: only with your consent, we use Google Analytics for statistics (pages visited, device, approximate location). We do not use this data for advertising.
- Map: the embedded Google Map loads only after you accept it in the cookie settings, because Google receives your IP address.
- Technical data: our server logs IP address, browser and time of visit for security purposes (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Cookies
Without consent we only use strictly necessary cookies. Statistics and third-party cookies are enabled only if you accept them in the banner. See our Cookie Policy for details and to change your choices.
4. Recipients
We do not sell or share your data for marketing. Only the partners that keep the site and reservations running have access: our web host, Google (email, Analytics, Maps) and i-host (reservations). Where data is transferred outside the EU, the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework apply.
5. How long we keep it
Form messages are kept for up to 12 months after our last contact, unless the law requires longer. Google Analytics data is deleted automatically after 14 months.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to the processing of your data, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Email us at info@balconyathens.com and we will reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
7. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest change.
