A Few Words About Us
Balcony first opened its doors in 2016, founded by three young friends with a shared vision. Over its first nine years of operation, it built a loyal and wide-reaching audience, while its kitchen welcomed renowned chefs who helped shape its identity and journey.
Unfortunately, disagreements between the owners led to the end of the restaurant’s first chapter at the close of 2025. At that point, we decided to take over and continue its story. Within just fifteen days, a new team was formed — made up of people who had worked at the restaurant in the past — and on May 29th, we began Balcony’s new chapter.
We chose to keep the name, as all of us genuinely feel connected to this place. Having worked here before, we carry fond memories from those years and a strong sense of belonging.
The restaurant is housed in a preserved neoclassical building at the beginning of Veikou Street, at the corner of Dimitrakopoulou, in Koukaki — right next to the Athens Metro Acropolis station. Its greatest asset is undoubtedly its rooftop terrace, one of the few spots in the area where guests can enjoy quality food and drinks with an open skyline, away from the noise and crowds of the city center.
